Biographies

Paul Fernandez, B.Sc., ACMA, CMA

Paul Fernandez is the President of Minerva, and has over 30 years of accounting, finance, information technology and management experience in a variety of companies. Prior to forming Minerva in 2005, Paul spent 4 years consulting for Infor Global Solutions (formerly Systems Union), the developer of SunSystems.

Paul has implemented SunSystems at many companies in different industries, including: hospitality, tourism; airports; oil and gas; oilfield services; entertainment; transportation; food services; insurance; construction; mining; marketing; not-for-profit; financial services; astronomy; and forestry. He has worked with SunSystems since 1989, both as a user and as a consultant.

Andrew Lane, B.Sc

Andrew Lane is a Technical Consultant for Minerva. Andrew joined Minerva in 2006 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He was trained at Systems Union in Farnborough, England, prior to joining Minerva. Andrew has gained extensive experience with SunSystems, PMQA10 Vision, and companion products over the last 4 years, and specializes in the installation of the software, software build, configuration, and training. He also provides technical consulting services relating to hardware, networks and backup services.

 

Louise Fernandez

Louise joined Minerva Business Systems in 2010 as the Sales Manager. She is responsible for the sale of SunSystems, PMQA10 (Vision), V1 Document Management and companion products. Louise brings 10 years of hospitality experience and has a CSE – Certified Sales Executive designation awarded by the Sales and Marketing Executives International.

 

 

Peter Rice

Peter Rice joined Minerva in May 2011 as an Application Consultant with extensive experience in manufacturing and distribution. Prior to joining Minerva, he had his own consulting firm and has provided consulting services to an extensive number of companies in a broad range of industries. Prior to that, he was a Manufacturing Consultant with Coopers & Lybrand (later to become PriceWaterhouseCoopers – PwC). In addition to technical and extensive management training, he is a graduate Production Engineer (UK), a member of the Canadian Institute of Management and a past member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers (AIIE) and a former director of the BC Chapter of APICS.  His career has included the following positions: Tool & Die Maker, Industrial Engineer, Materials Manager, Production Superintendent, Chief Industrial Engineer, Director of New Product Introduction and General Manager for a consortium of precision machining companies.

Mike Fisher

 Mike Fisher is a Technical Consultant for Minerva. He has extensive experience in web application development and custom programming.  He has been involved with internet-based software since the late 1990’s.  In addition to custom programming and web-based solutions, Mike provides technical consulting services for system and network administration as well as other information technology related services.
