Not-For-Profit
SunSystems has a large vertical market in the not-for-profit sector with approximately 1,000 customers in this market. Multi-currency, multi-lingual and multi-dimensional capabilities make SunSystems an ideal solution in this market. Income and expenses can be analyzed by grant, project, country or geographic area, donor, program, fund, grant activity, employee and others. Grant reporting is facilitated by using the same activity codes that are used by the donors or grantors so that reports can be prepared from the system rather than using manual spreadsheets to create the reports.
Vision Budget Management is a simple, easy-to-deploy and powerful budgeting system that can be used to set up budgets for projects and grants. Budgets can be uploaded into any one of the 10 budget ledgers in SunSystems by pressing a button. Budget managers in remote locations can receive their budget workbooks by email, and send the completed budgets back to the corporate office for uploading into SunSystems, thereby extending the budgeting process out into the field.
SunSystems can be interfaced to smaller accounting packages, such as QuickBooks, which may be used in other countries within the not-for-profit organization, enabling the use of low-cost legacy systems.
Minerva has worked on several not-for-profit projects, including Relief International, Food For The Hungry, Giant Magellan Telescope, World Wildlife Federation, Red Cross, BC Paraplegic Association, Genome BC, Save The Children and others.
